Build a Push-Pull Cable

Choose the cable style that matches the mounting and control arrangement. Series, core and thread sizes are selected separately in the next steps.

Choose the cable series by the typical end-rod thread sizes your application requires. The series will narrow the core and thread options that follow.

Series and typical end rod thread sizes

Choose the core construction. Only cores compatible with the selected series are shown.

Core

Specify the left conduit end or control handle. Thread is requested only when that end uses a threaded Bulkhead or Groove fitting.

Step 4A · Left conduit end or handle
Step 4B · Left end thread size

Specify the right conduit end. Compatible thread choices stay within the selected cable series and measurement system.

Step 5A · Right conduit end
Step 5B · Right end thread size

Enter the overall cable length in inches. Control-handle styles include a dimensional drawing below so the measurement reference is unambiguous.

Choose total motion from fully extended to fully compressed. Travel options are filtered by series, core and end style.

Travel

Plated steel is standard. Compatible cable styles may upgrade exposed conduit-end fittings and compatible supplied linkage hardware to stainless steel.

Exposed-metal finish

Optional: add compatible linkage ends to either cable end. Handles and control heads do not accept a linkage end.

Complete the cable specification to configure linkage ends.
