Construction: This item is forged, fully machined, and zinc plated. Specials: Special housing sizes and configurations are available in volume. Different rod diameters can be welded to or forged from the parent forging to achieve any length and endless configurations. If the housing dimensions D, E and G suit your application, the XX and XY dimensions can be any length up to 12'. The stem can be formed and machined to any configuration. Upset Forgings: We do both closed die forging and upset forging in-house in the USA, which means we can make these parts any length up to 120 inches! Upset forging allows up to Eight Material Diameters of material to be gathered on the end of the rod. Due to the cost of upset forge dies and tools (which we also make in-house), our general recommendation is that you will need volumes of at least 1000 pieces per year to justify the tooling expense. Conversely, we specialize in low to medium volume upset forgings, so we would not pursue a custom upset forging with annual volumes exceeding 100,000 pieces. Please note: we have hundreds of different product lines and our volume niches and focuses vary from 25/year to 250/year to 2,500/year to 25,000/year to 250,000/year to 2,500,000 per year; do not apply our upset forging volume niche to any of our other products as each family has a unique volume niche.
